Further into the North End

So it's getting down to the wire and I have one week left to finish my Editorial project on the characters of the North End. It's been a struggle and it's not yet over. I've lived next to Peter (shown right) and have never really sparked a true conversation with him. Needing the religious aspect of those in the North End I found him decorating his shrine for Christmas. I found out while talking to him, his wife was in the hospital - she had suffered stroke. He told me his wife would "kill" him if she came home to an undecorated shrine. This is an entertaining thought to me because the shrine shows enough dedication to your religion alone. He was kind enough to allow me inside to photograph him where most cameras are not allowed. I may need his prayers to finish the shots.
This experience has humbled me. My stress is no where near the stress of having a loved one in the hospital during the holidays. I wish nothing but health and happiness to him and his family, and to his wife a safe return.

People of the North End

So, I'm working on an Editorial Project of the North End. I have called this area of Boston my home for the last 3 years. It's quaint, cozy and of course Italian. There's much to tell about the North End, and with only 3 weeks left of the term I'm struggling to get the time to find the people who give this little nook of Boston its charm.
Wish me luck!

50's Photo Shoot

My roommate Susan- what an amazing sport and model. Since our apartment has such a retro look, we decided to doll up for a 50's style photo shoot, with roasted chickens and all. Enjoy!

Exploring Guitar Shapes with Light

This is probably one of my favorite photo shoots to date. They look killer in black and white as well. Shooting people is fun, but inanimate objects are fun too. They don't need breaks and hold a pose pretty well.
